Description
A concept from one of Uruguay’s leading winemakers and vineyard owner, Santiago Deicas. Bizarra Extravaganza reflects the purity of the grapes and the unique character they develop from their terroir. It’s made with minimal intervention. The Petit and Gros Manseng grapes are grown in a sustainable manner following organic principles. They are co-fermented, and the grape skins and pips are in contact with the juice for 35 days and then are aged half in barrels, half in tanks for 6 months. This develops a naturally stable wine reducing the need other more modern forms of stabilisation. It has a beautiful vibrant apple fruit character with a marmalade and honey finish and great acidity. It is unfiltered so can be slightly cloudy but the lees protects the wine from oxidation. Drink with Moroccan dishes or Korean and Japanese dishes, such as kimchi.
