Cannonball, Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Description

The grapes for this wine, made by the Share A Splash Wine Company in California, are de-stemmed and crushed, undergoing a cold soak for 3 days. Gentle pumping over occurs during fermentation in stainless steel followed by malolactic fermentation. 50% of the wine spends 9 months in French oak while the other 50% is aged in American oak for 11 months before blending and bottling. The blend is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petite Sirah. It’s reminiscent of a red apple dipped in dark chocolate, with extra strawberry, blueberry and spice on the side. Great with a steak, red sauce pastas, or a burger.
