Description
Quinta de São José is a family project that was started in early 1999 by João’s father, Ruy Brito e Cunha. In 2005, João Brito e Cunha bought the vineyard and brand of Quinta de São José from his family.
2017 was a good year for Port. Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Roriz and Sousão grapes were picked from the oldest vineyards on the Quinta. It was foot trodden for six hours a day and fermented in lagares, then aged for 2-3 years in tanks before releasing. This is a fruity forward vintage port. It’s floral, fruity, fresh and balanced with a long finish. Drink with chocolate desserts, cheese, nuts and dried fruit.
