Ca’ di Mat, Valautin Garnacha

This wine – Valautin Garnacha – is 100% Garnacha from the village of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. The grapes come from different small vineyards with granitic soils, different orientations and altitudes between 650 and 750 metres above sea level. The vineyards are located within a ZEPA (Special Protection Area for Birds) and the Natura 2000 Network. It is dry-farmed vineyards, traditionally trained in gobelet training, cultivated in the traditional way and harvested by hand in 15kg crates. Spontaneous fermentation, gentle maceration for 90 days with whole grapes, aged for one year, half in concrete, half in 500 litre French oak barrels.
