Intense on the nose, with notes of white flowers and white-pulp fruit. The palate is delicate and enveloping, highly aromatic and with long persistence. From family estate La Source, in the heart of the Valle d’Aosta, north-west Italy. An easy, pleasant wine that’s dry and with aromatic hints. Ideal for aperitifs and in combination with simple dishes with an aromatic component, fresh and goat cheeses.

Traminer (Gewürztraminer) 50% – Muscat 40% – Müller- Thurgau 10%.

Harvest took place at the end of September with perfectly ripe and carefully selected grapes. The whole grapes are kept in the press for 8 hours at a temperature of 15°C, after which a soft pressing is carried out followed by cold static decantation. Alcoholic fermentation is conducted at 18°C in steel containers. The wine is stirred on the fine lees for a few months before being filtered and prepared for bottling.

This wine won Bronze at Decanter World Wine Awards 2021.

Cantina La Source is set in a magical place in the Aosta Valley, nestled in the Alps just a stone’s throw from the Castle of Saint Pierre, and grapes are grown at altitudes above 500 meters, in difficult terraced areas, with slopes of more than 30% and without the use of mechanical means. The La Source Winery was established in 2003 by a group of young and innovative farmers with experience in agriculture and viticulture. Today the winery is owned by the Celi-Cuc family and is run by Stefano Celi, an agricultural expert with extensive experience in the Aosta Valley region.
