Winery: Mundo Revés is the shared dream of Thibault and Quentin, two French winemakers who arrived in Argentina more than a decade ago, drawn by the extraordinary potential of its terroirs. Inspired by the vast landscapes and the freedom to explore new possibilities, they set out to create wines that reflect both their European roots and their deep connection to Argentina - Rêves meaning "dreams" in French.

After years of working in renowned wineries and travelling extensively through the vineyards of Mendoza, their path naturally led them to the Uco Valley. There, they identified remarkable sites such as Altamira, El Cepillo, Los Chacayes, and Gualtallary, where they craft distinctive wines from varieties including Bonarda, Semillón, Sauvignon Blanc, Criolla, and, of course, Malbec.

At the heart of the project is Thibault Lepoutre, who trained as an agronomist and oenologist in Bordeaux, Champagne, and Montpellier. His international experience across Europe and South America eventually brought him to Argentina in 2012, where he played a key role in advancing organic and biodynamic viticulture and contributed to the creation of the Los Chacayes Geographic Indication.

Winemaking: This is made from Criolla Chica and Criolla Grande grapes. It showcases aromas of strawberries, cherries, caramel, and herbs. The vineyard, with 25 to 40-year-old vines, practices minimal intervention and flood irrigation. The 2022 vintage was fresh and cold, resulting in a vibrant expression of the indigenous grapes. The grapes underwent carbonic maceration for 15 days at 18C, followed by fermentation at low temperatures without skins. Pinot Gris lees were added during aging, and the wine was bottled without filtration and with minimal sulphite correction.
