Tasting Notes: A vibrant, violet-hued red welcomes you in the glass. The nose is filled with a stimulating aroma of sour cherries, morello cherries, and ripe raspberries. Hints of cloves and cinnamon linger in the background. A delicate, acidic first impression on the palate is followed by juicy aromas of currant and sour cherry with herbal notes, powerful but not overpowering.
Winemaking: "Our estate wines focus on the grape variety. The individual and unvarnished expression of the fruit is paramount, for pure drinking pleasure and unadulterated enjoyment. Our terroir wines optimally reflect the climate and soil diversity of the Ortenau region. They are aged in wooden barrels of various sizes, are fuller-bodied, and gain in elegance and refinement with age."
