Winery: When ex-RAF pilot Bob Lindo and his wife Annie planted their first eight thousand vines in 1989, they never dreamed of the phenomenal success they would achieve within 2 decades. They had bought their farm in the heart of the Cornish countryside several years earlier, seeking a change from service life and the perfect place to bring up their young family, and initially farmed sheep and cattle. Each summer they watched the grass turn brown on the sun-drenched slopes of the Camel Valley, and wondered if vines might enjoy such an aspect. Sam Lindo took over in 2002 – and has won many awards since.

Winemaking: The grapes undergo crushing and de-stemming to preserve the distinctive fruit characteristics inherent to Pinot Noir grown in England. This process yields a subtle pink hue as a by-product. Only the free-run juice is used for the production of sparkling wine, while the pressed juice is allocated for still wine. The primary fermentation is 100% stainless steel at 15C. This particular wine has been aged on the lees for 18 months, contributing to its fresh fruitiness and a pronounced yeasty character.

Tasting Notes: Beautifully balanced light Pink traditional method sparkling wine with classic English Pinot character. Lovely floral and delicate strawberry fruit nose and crisp acidity.
