Country: Spain
Region: San Martín de Valdeiglesias, Vinos de Madrid D.O.P

Tasting Notes: Medium-high intensity nose, with very complex aromatics of red fruit reminiscent of redcurrant and cherry liqueur, subtle hints of spices such as white pepper and florals such as iris.
The palate is friendly, with very good acidity and structure. The red fruit stands out, in this case more mature. It is medium-bodied and somewhat delicate, with very fine tannins and spicy and concentrated flavours, fresh, vertical, very intense, with a granite texture. Finishes long and savoury.
Winemaking: Garnacha from the village of San Martín de Valdeiglesias. The grapes come from different small vineyards with granitic soils, different orientations and altitudes between 650 and 750 metres above sea level. The vineyards are located within a ZEPA (Special Protection Area for Birds) and the Natura 2000 Network. Dry-farmed vineyards, traditionally trained in goblet training and cultivated in the traditional way.
Harvested by hand in 15 kg crates. Spontaneous fermentation, gentle maceration for 90 days with whole grapes, aged for one year, half in concrete, half in 500 litre French oak barrels.
