Tasting Notes: This is powerful and classic with hints of honey. Its notes are finely smoked and salty, with very pleasant nuances of toffee, coffee, tobacco, carob beans, fig and and toasted almonds. It is long and rich. Drink with almond cake, blue cheese and cured hard cheeses.
Winemaking: Over-ripe Monastrell grapes handpicked, destemmed and left to ferment on indigenous yeasts, before being aged for 20 years, with a great deal of patience, in century-old wild American oak casks.
