Umathum, Zweigelt 2017

Description

Josef Umathum took over a small, 15 hectare family estate in 1985. In 2007 they became part of the Demeter Biodynamic organisation. Today the vineyards total 33 hectares, producing 85% red wines. Wines are all closed with Vinolok glass stoppers. This wine is a dark ruby colour, on the nose there are flavours of red cherries, raspberries and sour cherries with a spicy tone that appears on the palate. A full bodied wine with a long finish.
