Tenuta di Tavignano, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Costa Verde 2019
- Bottle Size
- Wine Type
A family estate acquired in 1975 by Stefano Aymerich and wife Beatrice Lucangeli but now run by their niece Ondine de la Feld. Tavignano consists of 30 hectares of vineyards located in a small town called Cingoli, in the heart of the Marche region. Cingoli has a perfect Verdicchio growing climate with good sun exposure from the south-east and ventilation from the cooling northerly winds. From the 2019 vintage they are officially certified organic. The Verdicchio grapes are hand-harvested, and after a soft pressing of the grapes, fermentation takes place in stainless steel. The wine then spends a minimum period of two months in bottle before release. It has fresh fruit aromas such as white peach and floral notes on the nose. On the palate it shows typicity with citrus fruit, stone fruit and a slight bitter almond aftertaste. It works well with light seafood dishes or white fish dishes.
