Description
Quinta do Monte de São Sebastião occupies an area of approximately 7 ha, of which around 4ha are used for wine production. The remaining area of the Quinta is occupied by olive groves, orchards and almond groves. Over time, Quinta do Monte de São Sebastião has remained in the hands of the same family, always with the same objective: to preserve, expand, improve and innovate.
The grapes chosen for this wine are Rabigato and Gouveio from old vines. The grapes have been carefully selected from the vineyard to give this wine more complexity. It’s then been aged in French oak barrels for 6 months to add more finesse to the flavour. The wine is fresh with some minerality and slight oakiness coming through. It works well with starters, oily fish and white meats.
