Description
Lumière was founded in 1885 by Tokugi Furiya and is now into the 5th generation of winemakers currently with Shigeki Kida at the helm. The winery spares no effort in producing wines of the highest quality, with wines winning international awards consecutively over the last 25 years.
Koshu is the traditional grape variety native to Japan and has been grown for 1,200 years in Yamanashi prefecture.
This wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged on the lees for 6 months at Lumière’s new state of the art winery. This is a light bodied still white wine with pure and fresh flavours of peach and citrus. It’s a food-friendly wine and especially good with seafood and Japanese food.
