- Bottle Size

- Wine Type
The seeds of La Grange aux Belles were planted in 2004 when Marc Houtin gave up a career in the oil industry to follow a passion for wine. He purchased a dozen hectares on the slopes of the Aubance river in Anjou. In 2008 Marc invited Julien Bresteau to join the Domaine and La Grange Aux Belles was born. Today the 14ha estate has Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pineau d’Aunis, Gamay, Grolleau and Chenin Blanc, farmed organically of course, using herbal infusions against mildew and vinified with minimal sulphur use. This is a blend of hand-harvested Cabernet Franc and Grolleau, that sees a true 10-day carbonic maceration. Fermentation is with indigenous yeasts and it’s aged in fibreglass and bottled in spring.
