Karim Mussi, Bodega Alandes, Paradoux, Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc

The Semillon in this blend is grown on a low trellising system at La Consulta, with traditional irrigation. The Sauvignon Blanc is grown on a high trellising system, is younger, and has drip irrigation. The grapes are farmed sustainably. They are fermented and aged “sur lie” in French oak barrels. It’s textured, leesy and well balanced, with lovely weight and oak spice and a crisp, herbal finish. Drink with cheese, green vegetables, fish, fresh herbs and dishes with tangy dairy ingredients. It’s a 66% Semillon/34% Sauvignon Blanc blend.
