- Bottle Size
- Wine Type
Peruvian winery, Viñas Queirolo dates back to 1880, and was originally founded by Italian immigrants. Jorge Queirolo is head winemaker. The original vineyards are located in a small plot in Cañete, near the desert coast, and in 2000 the family acquired some land in the Ica Valley. This impressive area is at the foot of the Andes, 60km from the coastline and more than 500m above sea level. Here, approximately 700 hectares of vineyards are planted on the hillsides with deep loamy soils and stones, a natural resource of minerals. Intipalka means ‘valley of the sun’ in Quechua. Ripe and savoury, this Malbec combines cherry and blueberry flavours with notes of liquorice and leather.
