Casas del Bosque, Sauvignon Blanc Gran Reserva
- Bottle Size
- Wine Type
Casas del Bosque was founded in 1993 by Juan Cuneo Solari and was one of the first wineries in the Casablanca Valley in Chile. Today it’s still family owned and managed. The Cuneo’s have 245 hectares of vines in Santa Rosa on the west side of the Casablanca Valley, considered the coolest spot in the region. Plantings include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah, Carmenere and Pinot Noir – all drip irrigated from subterranean wells. This wine has aromas of lime, green apples and linden blossom, with a hint of jalapeño characteristic of Casablanca Sauvignon Blanc. In the mouth the wine is weighty, with yeasty notes and refreshing acidity. The finish is clean with lingering citrus and florality. Drink with Sea Bass ceviches, fish, oysters and other shellfish and crustaceans.
